Around 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
A 27-year-old man and his 17-year-old girlfriend were both arrested and charged with assault.
The man faces an additional charge of uttering threats. The teen was released with conditions pending a future court date.
The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
