The St. Joe’s Knights of Columbus Council #10436, sponsored a fundraising dinner recently at the Spirit & Life Centre Hall at St. Joe’s Parish sight on Wellington Street in Chatham. The dinner was to support the annual Diocese of London appeal to support the seminarians at St. Peter’s Seminary in London as the students prepare for religious life as priests, deacons, and other religious work within the Roman Catholic Church of The Latin Right.
The dinner was also accompanied by a silent auction, and 50/50 draw. The participants feasted on a variety of breads and perch for the main course, in keeping with religious tradition for this occasion.
Grand Knight David Bondy was hoping that this year’s dinner donations to the seminary would exceed the $2,000 plus raised at last year’s initial fundraiser.
