Last evening Chatham-Kent Police received a 911 call, advising a male was chasing someone on Park Ave E, Chatham, with a firearm. The police were able to locate the male in the parking lot of a restaurant, and arrested him. A firearm could not be located on the man, but the bicycle he was in possession of was reported stolen earlier in the month and he was also in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine and hydromorphone.
The 22 year old Chatham man was arrested and charged for possession of stolen property under $5,000, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged and held for a bail hearing. The owner of the bicycle was contacted and the property was returned to him.
