Local OPP and Chatham-Kent police arrested and charges three area men with impaired driving during the weekend.
A 20-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged by Lambton OPP after a vehicle was stopped on Holt Line, north of the community at about 2 a.m. Saturday.
Breath testing determined he was three times the legal limit. He will appear in Sarnia court Sept 14.
On Friday night around 11 p.m. a 62-year-old Bothwell man was charged after OPP noticed a vehicle operating in a suspicious manner near the scene of a traffic stop.
Lambton OPP determined the man had been consuming alcohol and he was charged.
At about the same Chatham Kent Police charged a 23-year-old Tilbury man after receiving a complain of a pickup truck being driven erratically in the Bloomfield Road area near Chatham.
Saturday night Chatham Kent Police conducted a RIDE spot check, stopping 50 vehicles with no infractions observed.
