For folks who like to travel to Windsor and beyond, you are likely going to have to alter your route for the next few months.
According to the OPP, construction has begun on the westbound lanes of Highway 401 between Merlin Road and County Road 42. As a result, westbound traffic will be using one of the eastbound lanes, meaning traffic is down to one lane in both directions, until Nov. 27.
The speed limit in the construction zone is 80 km/h.
As well, for people who like to take Queen’s Line (Highway 2) until just before Tilbury, you will now have to go through Tilbury, as the Queen’s Line exit to the westbound 401 is now closed due to the construction.
