A scary moment this morning in South Kent when a speeding vehicle veered past a school bus where a young child was boarding.
Police say an officer clocked a BMW zipping along on Talbot Trail near Erieau Road about 7 a.m. this morning doing nearly 120 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The car then passed a school bus that was facing eastbound. It had its lights flashing and stop bar extended, while an elementary-aged child was climbing aboard.
The cop pulled the BMW over shortly thereafter.
A 35-year-old Chatham man is charged with stunt driving and failing to stop for a school bus. His vehicle and license have been taken away for seven days.
Taking his vehicle for 7 days??? How about taking it and selling it? Use the proceeds to help fund victim services!
