It wasn’t a good night for a couple of young men behind the wheel in Chatham-Kent last night.
One man faces impaired charges, while another faces a slew of charges, including driving while disqualified and drug possession.
In one instance, at about 5 p.m. an officer observed a person he believed had a suspended driver’s licence behind the wheel of a vehicle on Raleigh Street. Police say the driver’s licence was indeed suspended, and the officer discovered there was pot in the vehicle.

And close to midnight last night in Thamesville, officers responded to a single-vehicle accident on Jane Road. Police say the driver lost control, left the road and hit a fence. The officer believed the man had been drinking, and took the driver to headquarters for breath tests.
