Police picked up two men over the past 24 hours wanted in connection with two separate shoplifting incidents.

A man stole DVDs valued at about $50 from Giant Tiger back on Dec. 21. On Feb 7, police received a report of a suspicious man near the store. Officers investigated and believe the two men are one in the same.

They tracked down their suspect last night.

A 32-year-old Chatham man is charged with theft.

Meanwhile, London police snagged a man wanted in connection with a July 18 five-finger discount issue at Chatham’s Wal-Mart.

Police say the man was arrested back in July, but failed to show for his Dec. 5 court date.

Early this morning, the London cops outfitted him with a pair of steel bracelets.

A 30-year-old man of no fixed address is back in Chatham to answer to charges.
