The Chatham-Kent Hospice has asked six pre-qualified general contractors to bid on the construction of the 10-bed hospice.
The contractors received tender packages this week, according to hospice officials.
The successful bidder is likely to be announced at the end of February, with construction slated to begin in early spring.
Hospice officials want to be operational before the end of the year.
