Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [ELGIN COUNTY] HIGHWAY 401- ELGIN COUNTY EMERGENCY DETOUR 2015-01-07
Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a multi-vehicle collision involving six tractor trailers on Highway 401 East bound lanes just east of Iona Rd (157 mile marker). No injuries have been reported at this time.
Traffic is currently being diverted off Highway 401 at the Currie Road Emergency Detour Route (EDR) and back onto Highway 401 at Union Road.
Motorists are advised to exercise extreme care when travelling as road conditions have been changing rapidly with the snow squall streamers.
