On Monday afternoon shortly before 3 p.m., police were called to a Canterbury Street residence in Chatham for a family dispute.
Officers learned an argument got heated and a man allegedly pushed his sister, causing her to nearly fall down a flight of stairs.
A 37-year-old Chatham man is charged with assault in connection with the incident.
