This from the OPP:
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit (T.T.C.I) are investigating a three vehicle motor vehicle collision that claimed one life this morning.
At approximately 9:10 am, police were called to attend the intersection of Essex County Road 46 and County Road 23 for a three vehicle collision involving 2 cars and a dump truck. As a result of the collision, one of the occupants of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second car was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
County Road 46 at County Road 23 and County Road 23 northbound at South Middle Road remain closed until further notice.
Police are not releasing the name of the deceased until notification of next of kin.
This matter is under investigation and further information will be released when it becomes available.
