police cuffs

Chatham-Kent police arrested a pair of women yesterday –one at the courthouse – on outstanding warrants.

Police say a woman was nabbed for shoplifting from Pharma Plus on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham back in August, and didn’t show up for her Oct. 15 day in court.

But yesterday afternoon, the woman showed up at the courthouse to speak to her lawyer. Officers saw her and broke out the handcuffs.

Last night, police responded to a disturbance on Erieau Road to discover one of the people there was wanted on an outstanding juvenile warrant. The girl had since turned 18, and was arrested for a breach of probation charge.
