A Chatham Township woman faces charges after retracting allegations about her ex.
Police say in July, the woman’s common-law spouse came under a probation order with conditions that included not communicating with her or going to her residence.
In August, she alleged he’d broken into her home and assaulted her. Police arrested the man.
Last month, police say she retracted her story while in court to testify. That led to a 29-year-old Chatham Township woman getting charged with public mischief and being party to an offence.
Police say they are reviewing the charges against the man.
