United Way Campaign co-chairs, Dean and Margery Muharrem, announced Christmas at the Links, a new fundraising initiative designed to celebrate local talent and raise funds for this year’s United Way campaign.
Christmas at the Links will be held in the new edition of the Links of Kent Golf and Event Centre from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Nov. 27.
“This is a “combo” affair,” according to Margery Muharrem. The event is a combination of two events held last year: Christmas at the Winery and the Runway Gala.
This event will feature unique artisan gifts, a live and silent auction, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes, a cash bar, dance, and live entertainment by The ShakeBand. There will also be a Fashion Show presented by Gentry Manor.
Tickets for Christmas at the Links are $50 per person (with a $20 income tax receipt) and can be purchased at Gentry Manor in Chatham, Links of Kent, Mitton’s Jewellers in Ridgetown and United Way offices in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Tilbury.
Net proceeds from the event will be invested in 30 local charitable agencies, programs and services for over 36,000 residents throughout Chatham-Kent.
