Chatham-Kent police kept curious onlookers and the media well back Thursday during training at Galaxy Cinemas in Chatham.
Police conducted incident commander and Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) training at the theatre.
Const. Rob Tobin said the training was for senior levels of the service – staff sergeants and a couple of inspectors – for managing major incidents.
He said those could be serious traffic accidents, or calls that require the CIRT to attend.
Tobin said about 8-10 senior officers were involved in the incident command element, while 20-25 people were part of the overall training, including several cinema staff.
