Police had a busy time of it in the last 24 hours dealing with vehicle-related issues.
- On Sunday night, an officer pulled over a vehicle on Lacroix Street in Chatham and learned the driver was serving not one but two license suspensions. Police say the first was for not paying family support and the second was for unpaid fines.
A 46-year-old Chatham man is charged with two counts of driving while under suspension in connection with the incident.
- Early this morning, an officer pulled over a vehicle on St. Clair Street in Chatham and learned the driver was also under suspension, this time due to unpaid fines and demerit points. Police say the man also didn’t have proof of insurance for the vehicle.
A 33-year-old Chatham man is charged with driving a motor vehicle with no validation on the plate, failing to surrender insurance, and two counts of driving while under suspension.
- A roadside breath test on Talbot Street East yesterday afternoon led to a three-day suspension for a 26-year-old man.
Police allege he was also consuming liquor in other than a licensed premises, residence or private place.
- Sometime between Nov. 1 at 10 p.m. and Nov. 2 at 8:30 a.m., someone stole an unlocked red 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer from a home on Janssen Street in Wallaceburg.
Police say the vehicle had the license plates AE59 491. There were three car seats in the Trail Blazer, and three Lenovo tablets, valued at $150 each.

- Sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, someone entered a couple of unlocked vehicles on Patteson Avenue in Chatham between Queen Street and Raleigh Street.
Police remind folks to please lock up their vehicles to protect themselves from theft.
