Police are investigating a pair of suspicious fires last night in rural Chatham-Kent.
According to Chatham-Kent police, emergency crews responded about 10:30 p.m. to a fire at an abandoned home on Hill Road in Howard Township.
And just after 11 p.m., crews headed to a barn fire on John Park Line.
At the first fire, police say firefighters quickly doused the blaze and no one was injured.

In regards to the barn fire, police say the barn, which was scheduled for demolition, didn’t have any utilities connected. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries there either.
