Police say a Windsor man missed one day in Chatham court, but received a free trip to Chatham in the back of a police cruiser last night to ensure he gets another appointment before a judge.
According to Chatham-Kent police, officers charged a man in late July with three counts of drug possession. He was released pending a future court date.
He missed that court date, police say, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Just after 10 p.m. last night, police found the man in Windsor.
A 43-year-old Windsor man spent the night in custody pending a bail hearing.
