Crash leads to charges

The OPP has laid a charge in connection with a car crash that sent three people to hospital with serious injuries.

On Oct. 6, a westbound minivan left the 401 near Kent Bridge Road, went into the median and veered back onto the highway before coming to rest on its side.

All three people in the van — passengers, Israfil Kilic, 33, of Windsor and Hanifi Ozdemir, 32, of North York, and the driver, Ismail Durmus, 37, also of North York – were all transported to London hospital in critical condition following the crash.

Durmus faces a charge of careless driving.
