Man tosses brick through woman’s window

A domestic dispute last night in Chatham resulted in charges.

Regular readers of police news should not be surprised to learn it involved someone breaching his release conditions.

Police say about 8:30 p.m., a man saw the woman near a restaurant on Grand Avenue East and began yelling at her.

A short time later, police say the woman observed the same man in her front yard. He chucked a landscape brick through her living room window, according to police, doing about $500 damage.

The man fled, but police say about 10 p.m. they found him on Vanier Drive.

A 32-year-old Chatham man faces charges of uttering threats, mischief and two counts of failing to comply.
