About 18 hours after it started, the electrical problems at the Chatham campus of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance appear to be over.
Shortly after 9 p.m., the alliance announced all systems are operational.
On-call administration and engineering services responded to the initial power failure, which was the result of an electrical failure at 3:30 a.m. At 6 a.m., as repairs were being made, a breaker blew, causing a bigger power failure across the site.
According to the alliance, the impact on the outage will still be felt Friday, but only in terms of ambulatory care visits that were announced earlier.
The alliance says all of the scheduled visits the outage affected are a priority to be rescheduled.
