Chatham-Kent police arrested a man yesterday morning, wanted in connection with a robbery earlier this month.
Police say on Sept. 7 at about 4 p.m., an altercation broke out between a man and a teen in Tecumseh Park, at which time the man assaulted the youth and then fled with the kid’s cell phone and mountain bike.
The 17-year-old Chatham youth suffered minor injuries. At the time, police searched the area for the man, but came up empty.
But yesterday morning, officers located the man on King Street West, and made the arrest.
An 18-year-old Shrewsbury man faces robbery charges in connection with the incident.
