Catching drivers breaking the law in Chatham-Kent is akin to shooting fish in a barrel: it’s hard to miss.
Police conducted traffic enforcement in various spots in the municipality yesterday.
In two hours, camped out on St. Clair Street near Paxton Drive, officers handed out 19 tickets.
In little more than an hour on Charing Cross Road near Devon Road, police doled out 20 tickets.
And in various speed traps in Wallaceburg, Kent Bridge, Mitchell’s Bay and on Fairview Line, police issued 30 tickets.
The infractions around the municipality weren’t limited to speeding. Police also issued paper for driver’s licence infractions, insurance violations and for using hand-held electronic devices.
