Don Wells arrived in Grand Bend Thursday morning with plans to complete his 2,137 kilometre Journey of Hope Saturday evening in Wallaceburg.
Wells said support for the e-bike rise to raise awareness and funds for breast and prostate cancer has been tremendous.
“We’ve had plenty of rain but the bikes have held up and we’ve had excellent response from every town we’ve gone to.” he said. “I’ve met a lot of mayors, spoken with members of parliament and all kinds of people who just came out to wish us well.”
He left Wallaceburg June 13 days ago on June 28, one day before his 65th birthday. He travelled east to Kingston before travelling to Owen Sound and back along the Lake Huron coast.
