The Thames Art Gallery wants to get a text message from you!
Well, they actually ask artists to submit text art for display at a community arts initiative at the gallery.
All work must be text-basted. Maximum submission size is 8.5×11 inches. All submissions will be printed onto clear labels and then displayed on the wall.
The submissions are due by July 21 at 5 p.m., and anyone can participate.
The art will be on display from Aug. 15 to Oct. 5, with an opening reception set for Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.
Participants can create their work digitally and e-mail the piece to the gallery at ckartgallery@chatham-kent.ca.
They can also hand draw their art, scan it and e-mail it, or drop off the work in person to the gallery at 75 William St. N. in Chatham.
