A Walpole Island man is in custody to face charges of attempted murder in connection with a brutal beating in Wallaceburg earlier this week.
Chatham-Kent police say a 19-year-old Walpole Island man suffered life-threatening head injuries after an altercation on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg after midnight Tuesday.
The victim was taken to Sydenham District Hospital but was transferred to London where he remains in critical condition, police say.
This morning, police arrested a 20-year-old Walpole Island man.
