Incumbent South Kent, Ward 3, councillor Karen Herman has opted to run again.
Herman joins fellow incumbent Frank Vercouteren as the only people who have filed their papers to seek election to council in Ward 3 to date.
The third incumbent, Art Stirling, has yet to announce his intentions.
