The U14A Worthington Cylinder Chatham Thunder team earned a gold medal in the Burlington Blast ringette tournament this past weekend, going 6-0 in the tournament.

Chatham dropped Markham, Ottawa, Niagara Falls and Sudbury in the round robin before matching up against Niagara Falls again in the semi-finals.

The Thunder won that match 4-2 to advance to the final, where they topped Guelph 5-2.

Leading the scoring in the tournament for Chatham was Rachel Benn, followed by Evelyn MacKay-Barr, Emily Raaymakers and Sorcha Rountree.

Olivia Eskritt shone between the pipes.
