Police have released the name of the man killed Saturday in an accident near Wallaceburg, and say they don’t anticipate charges being laid.
Antony Nascimento, 53, from Toronto, was killed when the car he was driving, a Toyota, collided head on with a Chrysler driven by Catherine Caron, 19, of Wallaceburg, police say.
Caron, and Nascimento’s passenger, Rooshmanie Rambarran, 51, of Toronto, were taken to hospital and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident took place Saturday afternoon just before 4 p.m. on Highway 40 near Heritage Line south of Wallaceburg. Police say Nascimento’s car crossed into the path of Caron’s.
The OPP closed the highway at the scene for much of Saturday evening as they cleared the wreckage and tried to piece together what happened.
