The Chatham Riverview Bingo Novice Thunder took gold at the Cambridge tournament over the weekend. Posting an aggregate score of 46 – 9, the Thunder kept rolling with no opponent coming close.
In the gold medal match, Chatham dominated Oshawa 11-3. Martina Legere scored five of the Chatham goals, while Helena Anderson and Gloria Koning each added a pair. Kaitlyn Sammon and Kaitlyn Warner had solo markers.
Chatham opened the tournament against Oshawa with an even more lopsided total of 13-4.
Legere had four tallies in that game, while Jeanette Legere, Sammon and Warner had two apiece. Koning had a goal to go with four assists.
Kitchener fell next, 11-2, as Martina Legere continued with the hot stick, posting the hat trick. Sammons and Warner chipped in with two each again, while Kalyn Buchanan also had a pair.
Next up was Dorchester, who fell 11-0.
That led to the gold medal match, and a victory.
