Sir: Mr. Corcoran, thank you so much for the article on our kids from the Children’s Treatment Centre. I am the wife of the coach of the team, Dick Perrin. His assistant is Derek Whitson from the Canadian sledge hockey team.
Every year for the last five years we have done an extra game “under the lights” and the kids love it. Usually there are friends and family cheering the kids on, so you can imagine how surprised we were to see the crowd walking down the street.
The kids absolutely loved it. They will never forget that night.
The article you wrote hit it right on. We love those kids and they have so much fun playing two months of baseball every Thursday.
