A 17-year-old Chatham man faces careless driving and fail to remain charges in connection with a late-August accident on Highway 401.
On Aug. 25, a Chevy Cavalier collided with a truck pulling a trailer. The collision knocked the truck off the road and resulted in the driver and passenger going to hospital.
Police say the Cavalier pulled over, and a male driver and female passenger got out briefly, but hopped back in and took off.
The OPP investigated and have now charged the teen.
