Chatham-Kent realtors enjoyed a busy month in July, as sales were up 12% from the same time last year.
It marked the second straight month of double-digit sales increases over last year.
Randy Korpan, president of the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors, said last summer as a particularly slow time.
““It (July 2013) was actually the best July sales figure in four years, although the size of the increase also reflected the slowdown in activity we saw at this time last year,” Korpan said in a news release.
Last month, 110 homes were sold, with an average value of $146,499, according to the press release.
