The Chatham-Kent Police and Chatham-Kent Fire were busy this weekend, responding to two structure fires.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning emergency crews responded to a barn on fire on Huff Side Road near Thamesville. Police learned the barn was full of old lumber, and was already burned down when fire crews arrived. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Then at approximately 11:00 p.m. yesterday, fire and police responded to another barn on fire on Broad Line near Tupperville Road. The barn had approximately $60,000 in equipment inside, and was burned down on arrival. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
