Compliance concern

In late January, a man was released by court with a condition to report to the Bail Supervision Program at a local agency. Two days later, Chatham-Kent police say he failed to report for his scheduled appointment.

Yesterday morning, police located the man in Chatham and he was arrested.

A 42-year-old Blenheim man was charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

Domestic charges

In late October, a man was released from court with several conditions.

Two of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific Tilbury woman or attend her home.

Yesterday afternoon, police say the man attended the woman’s home, and the police were notified.

Officers located the man inside the home, and he was arrested.

Through investigation police learned this was not the first incident of domestic violence in their relationship.

A 26-year-old Tilbury man has been charged with two counts of fail to comply, along with several domestic-related offences. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Mischief and threats

Last night, a man attended a business on King Street in Chatham.

Due to his behaviour in the store, he was asked to leave.

Upon doing so, the man damaged property in the store and verbally threatened the two employees, police say.

The man was located by police a short distance away and taken into custody. A 29-year-old Chatham man is charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats.
