Thieves made off with four guns and an ATV from a shop on Longwoods Road recently.
Chatham-Kent police say sometime between 4 p.m. Oct. 10 and 9 a.m. Oct. 11, someone forced their way into the shop in Camden Township and stole the items.
Missing is an Arctic Cat 700 ATV, last seen with plates 9AS04.
Also stolen was a Benelli super Black Eagle II semi-automatic shotgun, a Ruger 10/22 compact semi-automatic rifle, an Accutrigger rim-fire bolt-action .22 rifle, and a 17HMR bolt-action rifle with scope.
All the firearms had trigger locks, police say, at the time of theft.
Total value of the crime is estimated at $15,000.

This wasn’t the only break and enter recently in Chatham-Kent.
Sometime between midnight and 2 a.m. on Oct. 10, someone broke into a barn on Talbot Trail in Orford Township.
Thieves made off with tools, as well as oxygen and acetylene tanks, with a total value of about $2,000.

Apparently thieves went furniture shopping last night on Teetzle Road in Orford Township, but were thwarted by a homeowner.
Police say about 6:40 p.m., someone got into the home and tried to steal a dresser, only to be scared off by the homeowner.
