“We have kept our eye on this initiative and can’t believe the momentum it has gained,” says Shawn Bustin, Executive VP of Mainstreet Credit Union, in a media release. “We are very happy to be associated with a movement that is touching so many people in Chatham-Kent.”

The finale of the 12 days of Positivity will be at the Capitol Theatre on Sept. 13. Local residents can qualify for the draw via a variety of different contests that local media will be putting on, including The Chatham Voice (see the ad in this week’s paper).

“We left the details of how local media representatives wanted to recruit the qualifiers, some are doing enter to win contests, some are asking for positive stories and others are asking residents to perform positive actions, we wanted to see how creative they could get,” Darrin Canniff , founder and co-chair of Positivity Day In CK.

“Travel is such a positive experience for any person,” said Grace Dieleman of Vellinga’s Travel. “Being able to make a difference in the life of one local resident with a trip like this is priceless.”

Residents are urged to enter for a one-in-455 chance of winning. Qualifiers (or a family member in case of emergency) must be present at the Capitol Theatre for the finale event starting at 6 p.m. Sept. 13.

The finale is open to the public and will feature local entertainment.
