Three more step forward

It was another relatively quiet week in municipal election nominations, as three people came forward last week.

Steven Scott will run in Ward 4, while Les Banks is running in Ward 6, and Pierre Lambert is running for trustee for the French public school board.

They join mayoral hopefuls Darrin Canniff and Alysson Storey.

Council hopefuls in Ward 1, West Kent, are incumbents Bryon Fluker and Mark Authier.

For Ward 2, South Kent, Henry Svec and incumbent Frank Vercouteren have announced they are running.

In Ward 3, East Kent, incumbents David VanDamme and Steve Pinsonneault have signed up to do it again.

As for Ward 4, North Kent, Dylan McLay and while Joey Cyples announced their intentions to run.

Up in Ward 5, Wallaceburg, Aaron Hall, Randy McNeil, Chris Glassford, Nicolas Cadotte and incumbent Carmen McGregor have filed their papers.

And in Ward 6, Chatham, Doug Sulman and Michael Bondy, Larry Vellinga, James Thompson, Ryan Jackson; Chris June, Kirk Hooker, Drew Simpson and Karen Kirkwood-Whyte are running.

John Mrnik, Bob Demers and John Van Heck are seeking positions as school board trustees.

This list is complete as of June 11.
