It appears a garage may have jumped out into the path of a 37-year-old Chatham man on the weekend.
How else does one explain hitting such a structure with your pickup truck? Oh, wait, what if alcohol was involved?
Police say about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, they received word someone had collided with a garage, causing an estimated $80,000 in damage.
Officers believed the driver of the pickup truck involved in the crash was impaired and took him in for a breath test. Police say the results were that, at a time when most of us were making breakfast, this guy was allegedly nearly three times over the legal limit for driving.
