Collisions bring charges

Chatham-Kent Police laid three charges in connection with motor vehicle collisions yesterday.

At approximately 9:45 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Pioneer Line between St. Clair Road and Prince Albert Road. The driver lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and came to rest in a field.  No one was injured.  Total damage was estimated at $4000.  A 19-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with careless driving.

Just before 1:00 p.m.  police responded to a two vehicle collision on Queens Line between Merlin Road and Drake Road.  No one was injured.  Total damage was estimated at $5500.  A 32-year-old Chatham man was charged with careless driving.

 Around 3:30 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Chatham Street North near Graham Street in Blenheim.  No one was injured.  Total damage was estimated at $3000.  A 42-year-old man was charged with disobeying a red light.
