Jewelry, welding cable stolen in two incidents

Chatham-Kent police are on the hunt for thieves again after someone broke into an apartment on Park Avenue East, and other folks made off with welding cable from Fabtech.

Sometime between April 13 and 27, thieves entered the Park Avenue East apartment, and stole a filing cabinet containing jewelry and cash valued at about $2,600.

And sometime between April 24 at 3:30 p.m. and April 27 at 7:30 a.m., someone got into the fenced compound of Fabtech on Colborne Street in Chatham and stole four 150-foot rolls of welding cable, worth an estimated $1,600.
