Cops name girl killed in collision

Police have released the name of the teenager killed in a weekend accident in Moraviantown.

About 1:40 a.m. Saturday morning, a car struck three pedestrians, ultimately killing one, Bailey Jacobs, 16, of Moraviantown.

Police say a Chrysler 300 driven by a 21-year-old Moraviantown man turned onto Centre Street in the community, and struck the three pedestrians.

All three were taken to hospital, where Jacobs succumbed to her injuries.

The male, Tanner Whiteye, 24, is in critical condition in a London Hospital.

Jordi Whiteye, 17, suffered minor injuries and has been released.

The driver wasn’t hurt in the mishap.

The OPP Traffic Collision team is assisting with the investigation in partnership with Moravian Police.

They are looking to speak to anyone who many have witnessed the collision or who was in the area when it took place.
