AIDS Support Chatham-Kent (ASCK) and the environment will benefit from an event Aug. 24-25 in Stoney Point.

U Pull ‘em, a business that recycles and sells used car parts, is hosting a barbecue fundraiser in support of ASCK during their “All You Can Carry for $60” event at 7525 County Rd. 42 in Stoney Point this weekend.

The money raised at the barbecue will be used to promote the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life 2013 which helps provide prevention education and support to people whose lives are directly affected by HIV/AIDS in our communities.

“We recognize the need for the community to support programs and services such as those offered by AIDS Support Chatham-Kent. It’s everyone’s responsibility to bring HIV/AIDS awareness to the community; that’s why this year I’ve invited ASCK to host the BBQ during our event,” U Pull ‘em owner Jeff Lanoue said in a release.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.aidswalkforlife.ca/Chatham.htm.
